Modus Operandi NAIA Taxi H 185 Philippines 

NAIA Taxi/Cab Modus Operandi:

1. After going out of Terminal 1 there wold be a person (very dark guy wearing blue shirt and NAIA is written in his left shirt with a military cut hair and a camouflage jacket and black pants) who would ask if you need a Taxi and will tell you it is an Airport Taxi especially if you have huge and several baggage.

2. If you would ask how much it would be he would say it is P70.00 Flag Down (the first amount after entering the taxi) then P1.00 each Kilometer SO you would say, "Uhhhmmmm, Rate now in an Airport Taxi is cheaper compared before" and because of that you would GIVE IN (but IF you know the real rate then you would definitely know its a scam)

3. Since you have several and huge baggage, he would volunteer to push your cart near the Airport Taxi parking, Private Vehicle Entrance going to the Departure and Taxi are not allowed (just near the Arrivals Extension). He will tell you to WAIT there and he will get HIS TAXI. Definitely you would wait since you're already there with the AIRPORT GUARD.

4. After waiting for around 10-15mins an AIRPORT Yellow Taxi would arrive with a Different Driver, there you may think "I thought he was the driver offering us for a ride in his Taxi, but he was just a Barker(the one who calls passenger).

5. After loading all your baggage inside the taxi, the Barker would ask you for A TIP of $5.00 outside so the taxi driver won't here it, he would also say that the $5.00 will be given to the Airport Guard. In this video, the person gave only P100.00 because they assumed that the barker is already the driver. Seems something fishy is happening, a Photograph of the Taxi was taken (H-185). So the passenger went inside and ask money to be given to the barker were the driver could hear it

6. While inside the Taxi, it was verified with the Driver and the Barker if it is a P70.00 Flag Down and P1.00 every Km and they both would say YES.

7. After verifying the price, the barker would Close the Door and the Taxi would then go to your destination. After Closing the Door and the Barker leaving, the Driver would say "Why did you give a tip to the barker when he already asked me for P150.00 earlier when he called me?" (Why didn't he mentioned that when the barker was asking for it. Well planned.)

8. After a couple of minutes the Taxi Driver would say that "I might have a Problem with you Guys because you took a picture of my taxi" (No one would ACT that way if you ain't guilty of something, he is just making it plain easy for us to determine that something really fishy is happening)

9. Verifying the price again how much would it be, Driver would now deny that there's no such thing as P1.00 per Km, it is P70.00 flag down, then P70.00 every 1Km, he gave an example that if it would be 12Km/10Km it would be P770 (wrong computation though), so he would say that the he WOULD GIVE A DISCOUNT and the Amount would just be P740.00. Wow!!! (We only paid P180.00 earlier, double it, its P360.00. triple it, its P540 )

10. He would say, "I'll just drop you guys off somewhere and even call for a Taxi for you because I might have a problem and I won't ask you to pay for something." Definitely he is making a way to get rid of the Passengers. (Maybe: because he and the barker already got the Tip, OR maybe he is already getting caught of his Modus. P740????)


11. Watch the entire video and you will see that the Driver is Stuttering in the conversation and is very defensive with just one picture of his airport taxi(where anyone will/may do before they ride a taxi), not just that, you will see how he change moods all through out the conversation and how he change his statements when he knew that he was being recorder.
